What this ceremony is for
Three nights to cut the cords that still tie you to a person or a time that hurt you.
Some ties do not loosen with time. A person who hurt you, a period of your life you survived, a loss you have not been able to set down. In the Ka these show as cords, and you can feel them pull whenever the memory comes.
Over three nights I find the cords, name them, and cut them, one night for each stage: the seeing, the cutting, and the healing of the place where each cord was. I use black and white candles, a blade kept only for this, and the herbs for release and for comfort.
This ceremony is for freedom, not forgetting. What you lived through stays yours. What leaves is the hold it still has on you.
What I need from you
Your first name, who or what you need to be free of, and what you still feel when you think of it. You do not have to tell me more than you want to. A photo is optional.
